Before starting your journey into making money through rewards sites, it’s a good idea to be prepared. I suggest doing everything on this checklist.
- Have an email address that you don’t mind collecting spam or junk mail. This email should also be connected to a Paypal account so you can collect your earnings.
- A valid phone number for some offers.
- Have a decent understanding of computers or know someone who does.
- Before signing up for any site, do some research. Use your preferred search engine to check reviews by others and to determine if the site is either legit or a scam.
- Make sure your computer is protected. For Windows, I suggest using Microsoft Security Essentials.
- Multiple computers for those few sites that allow multiple accounts per household. Use a different computer for each account.
- As soon as you reach your reward goal, turn it in. A “trusted” site recently went down, with many people having hundreds of points. Some people were relying on the extra cash for Christmas.
